The Manitou Group, with 5500 employees worldwide and headquartered in Ancenis, has decided to provide financial support of €25,000 per year for a period of three years to the Icam production school in Nantes in 2024. Hosted within the engineering school, the production school, established in 2016, welcomes young people aged 15 to 18 who seek to learn a trade differently. In a workshop, by fulfilling orders from industrial companies, these young people are trained by “doing” for 2 or 3 years for a CAP Electrician qualification. This pedagogy has proven particularly successful with minors facing school dropout situations. This educational model aligns with Manitou Group’s ambition to promote inclusive and educational activities, in connection with the territories where it operates.

Recognizing that its core business is at the forefront of major environmental and societal challenges, the group has undertaken a CSR initiative named “Elevation”, based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, involving all its employees and stakeholders. This donation is managed by the Féron-Vrau Foundation. Named after the founders of Icam, it has been recognized as a Public Utility since 1981 and can therefore collect donations to finance social diversity actions related to pedagogical innovation and real estate projects that contribute to Icam’s mission.

About Manitou The Manitou Group, with its global network of 800 dealers in 140 countries, strives every day to get closer to its customers. With its headquarters in France, the group achieved a turnover of €2.9 billion in 2023 and brings together 5,500 talents within 34 companies worldwide.
