A more modern and adapted garage school at the Icam Production School, Lille site

The garage school provides better learning and working conditions for the twenty or so young people trained there, and for their supervisors.

 

Since the start of the 2023 school year, the garage school has been housed in a new, more modern, spacious and secure building, which is just as well suited to the vehicle repair activity as it is to the training of future car mechanics, supervised by our professional masters. It offers young people and supervisors better learning and working conditions. Norauto (a Mobivia subsidiary) also provided support for the project, in particular for the implementation of the layout, including the integration of 10 forklifts by a local company.

Situated at the heart of the Production School and vocational training area on the Icam campus, the new garage school will help to make our professions more attractive, and will act as a showcase for the local automotive repair industry and all its partners.

This project received a total of €58,000 in support from the Fondation du Nord, the Fondation d’entreprise Vinci pour la Cité Hauts de France, the Fondation de la Caisse d’Épargne des Hauts de France, and the Association des Garages Écoles, of which the Mobivia Foundation is a member, as well as the Roquette company, patron of the Production School.

Every year, some 60 young people are trained by the Icam Production School in all its courses (3 CAP-level sections), including more than twenty in the garage school, certified in 2020 by the Fédération Nationale des Écoles de Production.
