Researcher and Director of Research at Icam’s Strasbourg-Europe site, Grégoire Chabrol gives his expert opinion, in the online media Les Echos, on the possibility of a human presence on the moon.

At the end of 2023, NASA announced that it would be possible to build houses on the Moon by 2040, recalls Les Echos. So establishing a lasting human presence on the Moon: myth or imminent reality?

Grégoire Chabrol explains in this article that “the magic recipe for living on the Moon doesn’t yet exist, but we’re on the right track”. According to him, “it’s an essential step towards reaching Mars, the planet we want to know everything about! This would enable us to better understand our terrestrial climate system and its evolution in the face of current global warming”.
