The “Computer Aided Manufacturing” (CAM) project, supported by the Howmet Aerospace Foundation and developed by Icam engineering students, will enhance the professionalization of students at the Icam Production School in Toulouse.

The Icam Production Schools welcome young people aged 15 to 18 who have not found their way in the traditional school system. They offer them the opportunity to develop their skills and acquire professional experience through a two-year practical training program, with a diploma (CAP) at the end.
The introduction of computer-assisted manufacturing (CAM) software at the start of the new academic year is a real advantage for young people undergoing training in turning and milling at the Toulouse Production School. The use of this tool will promote the autonomy of these young people, contribute to their professional success, and meet the needs of machining companies. As a reminder, the students spend two-thirds of their time working on real company orders.
