How does admission to Icam at Bac+2/+3 level work ? Here’s everything you need to know about the admission requirements !
The admission process consists of three steps :
1) Choose : December 2, 2024, to March 9, 2025
2) Be Selected : Interviews from March 24 to April 10, 2025
3) Decide : Until April 28, 2025*
Step 1 : “Choose Your Program” (December 2, 2024, to March 9, 2025)
Ensure You Meet the Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible to apply if you hold an admissible Bac+2 diploma. The following diplomas are accepted :
General Engineering Program – Apprentice Track
- BUT3 in Mechanical and Production Engineering
- BUT3 in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing
- BUT3 in Industrial Engineering and Maintenance
- BUT3 in Physical Measurements
- BUT3 in Thermal and Energy Engineering
- BUT3 in Civil Engineering
- BUT3 in Materials Science and Engineering
- BTS in Design and Manufacturing of Automated Systems
- BTS in Technical Assistance for Engineers
- BTS in Design of Industrial Products
- BTS in All-Energy Powertrains (formerly MCI)
- BTS in Process Design and Manufacturing
- BTS in Electrical Engineering
- BTS in Systems Maintenance

General Engineering Program – Full-Time Track

- Scientific Preparatory Classes (MP, PC, PT, MPI, and PSI)
- For any other program, a request for exemption can be submitted directly on the admission platform or via admission-bacplus2@icam.fr.
Digital and Industrial Systems Engineering Program (SNI)
- BUT3 in Mechanical and Production Engineering
- BUT3 in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing
- BUT3 in Industrial Engineering and Maintenance

If your diploma is not listed, you must request a waiver online via the admissions platform (detailing your academic background and motivation) or by contacting us at admission-bacplus2@icam.fr.
Register on the Admissions Portal
Access the admissions portal to provide mandatory personal information and details about your academic background (high school diploma and higher education)
Select Your Programs
You can choose one or more of the following programs :
- General Engineering Program – Full-Time Track
- General Engineering Program – Apprentice Track
- Digital and Industrial Systems Engineering Program.
Note : There is no need to rank or prioritize your program choices.
Pay the Registration Fee and Submit Your Application
For the 2024–2025 academic year, the fees are :
- €150 for the five campuses offering the full-time general engineering program (Lille, Nantes, Grand Paris Sud, Toulouse, Strasbourg-Europe).
- €150 for the five campuses offering the apprentice general engineering program (Lille, Grand Paris Sud, Toulouse, Vendée, Bretagne).
- €150 for the Digital and Industrial Systems Engineering program (Strasbourg-Europe campus).
- €50 for scholarship holders (*).
(*)Scholarship holders must upload their valid scholarship certificate for the 2024–2025 academic year and pay a reduced fee of €50 per selected program. Payment is made online via credit card. If online payment is not possible, please contact us at admission-bacplus2@icam.fr.
You cannot proceed with your application until payment is made and/or your scholarship certificate is uploaded.
Complete Your Application
Your application file is a key part of the admission process. Ensure you upload the following documents by February 23, 2025 :
- ID photo
- CV
- Identity document
- High school transcripts
- Transcripts from your higher education years
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Transcripts of other degrees
- Academic recommendation letter or study continuation advice
- Motivation letter
Step 2 : “Be Selected” (March 24 to April 10, 2025)
Interview invitations : March 21, 2025
Once your application is reviewed, you will be notified if you are invited for an interview at your first-choice campus.
Step 3: “Decide” : until April 28, 2025*
Results Announcement : April 14, 2025
Results will indicate the programs and campuses where you have been admitted. Notifications will be sent individually via email. You’ll have several options to consider. The choice is yours.
Three Possible Admission Statuses :
- Main List (definitive admission)
- Waiting List
- Non-Admitted (neither on the main nor waiting lists)
Once results are published, you must respond :
- If admitted to the main list : Confirm on the portal :
– “YES” : You accept admission.
– “NO” – You decline admission (final decision). - If on the waiting list : Indicate if you wish to remain a candidate.
If you accept admission, you will receive an email within eight days to finalize your enrollment.
* Only for general engineering training under student status: until July 11, 2025 for CPGE applicants. Final admission is conditional on passing the oral entrance exam of one of the following Grandes Ecoles: Centrale Supélec, Arts et Métiers or Concours Commun INP. As soon as you receive the document, send it by e-mail to admission-bacplus2@icam.fr.
