Through the Pépites competition, the MEL (Métropole Européenne de Lille) invited student entrepreneurs to submit applications for innovative projects with a social and environmental impact.
3 projects led by students from the Icam Lille campus, who chose to follow an MSE (Mémoire Scientifique Entrepreneurial), are among the 8 nominees for the MEL’s Pépites competition.
> La compostière
Winners: Théo Pruvost, Thibault Lemay, Damien Guillotot
Their aim? To develop a universal solution enabling everyone to sort their food waste by transforming it using collective, sustainable composter-gardens.
> We caps
Winners: Adrien Bauw, Arthur André, Louis Lechelle and Clément Flajolet
Their aim? Reuse used glass bottle caps, once considered waste, to make them usable again.
> La suite
Winners: Martin Willem, Antoine Guillemant
The aim? To collect glass bottles from cafés, hotels and restaurants on a pooled basis, then sort, clean and check them before offering them to industrial bottlers.
This prize will enable them to benefit from a publicity campaign supported by the MEL and its partners, as well as assistance in launching a crowdfunding campaign.
A fine sign of success for our student entrepreneurs!
