DECATHLON was created in 1976 from an original idea: to meet the needs of passionate sportsmen by offering them in one place a multitude of sports articles. Our promise is to “make the pleasure and benefits of sport accessible to as many people as possible.”
Present in 43 countries and with more than 1,400 stores worldwide, DECATHLON now represents more than 100,000 employees with a turnover of 11 billion euros (69% of sales is made internationally) in 2017. DECATHLON brings together two activities: the creation of sports products as well as local and online sales.
