Because industry and innovation are at the heart of our DNA, Icam was present at Viva Fabrica, held from February 26 to March 2, 2025, in Lille. This inspiring 5th edition, dedicated to the industry of tomorrow, saw strong engagement from the Lille campus teams and students, who demonstrated boldness and enthusiasm to showcase Icam.
Inspiring and bringing future generations together around industry, highlighting a rapidly evolving sector and sparking new vocations were at the core of the 2025 Viva Fabrica exhibition. Icam, which trains tomorrow’s talents and supports industrial transformation by offering programs tailored to technological, environmental, and societal challenges, played a key role in this mission.
Five Intensive Days of Meetings and Sharing
Throughout the event, Icam Lille’s staff and students took turns tirelessly welcoming middle and high school students and their families, introducing them to the industry and presenting Icam, its programs, and the exciting human and scientific journey it offers. Through discussions, demonstrations, and immersive experiences, the team shared its expertise and highlighted the many career opportunities within the industrial sector.
“Throughout our interactions at our booth and across the event, we met numerous key industry and employment players, all united by the ambition to reindustrialize France, recruit new talent, and inspire future generations,” explained Johann Léost, Director of Icam Lille. “These exchanges reinforce our determination to build a more sustainable, innovative, and human-centered future.”
Changing Perceptions of Industry
Viva Fabrica was also an opportunity for valuable encounters for our students.
Students from the Production School, who came to present a collaborative artwork created with International Bachelor students, had the chance to exchange with Xavier Bertrand, President of the Hauts-de-France Region.
Engineering students seized the opportunity to introduce Icam and its “learning by doing” approach to Élisabeth Borne, Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research ; Marc Ferracci, Minister of Industry and Energy ; and Patrick Martin, President of the French Business Movement (MEDEF). A great way to showcase our global project !
“We are proud of the visibility and boldness shown by our students, staff, and partners throughout these five days,” concluded Johann Léost. “Changing perceptions of industry and inspiring young minds, that was the spirit of Viva Fabrica : mission accomplished !”
