For the next three years, Icam has drawn up its “Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility” (SD&RS) master plan, which was approved by the French management team on December 6, 2023.
This master plan sets out the objectives and framework for the actions to be taken to commit Icam to transformation in order to meet the challenges of the coming years and face up to all the issues of transition.
“It concerns and engages us all in our activities and missions at Icam,” explains Franck Cochez, DD&RS Deputy Director, who steered its development with his team of 7 referents, present at all Icam sites in France as well as in Africa, at the Ucac-Icam Institute. “We have also set up a committee of SD&RS experts, made up of representatives of the directors, directors of studies and heads of courses, as well as students and 5 external people with extensive experience in the field, who meet twice a year. Last October, this committee issued a favourable opinion.”
Icam’s SD&RS master plan is designed to be consistent with the reference framework of the same name promoted by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and France Universities, and with the Grenoble Accord, signed by all Icam France sites in March 2023.
It is the starting point for the reflection needed to implement our actions, in three priority areas: measuring our actions, developing our programs, and involving our students.
According to Franck Cochez, “our ambition is to make this an opportunity for Icam, to train general engineers with good adaptability and a systemic vision, prepared to succeed in a world undergoing rapid change and transformation”.
