The two teams of students from the Icam de l’Ouest (Vannes, Nantes and La Roche-sur-Yon) and Grand Paris Sud campuses put their all into the TIC t’ACT Challenge, organized on October 17, 2024 by Colas France – Territoire Ile-de-France Normandie & Aximum.
The TIC t’ACT Challenge was an enriching experience for all involved. The Icam students competed against other teams of engineering school students, all more motivated than ever by this Challenge whose objective was to respond to CSR issues around three topics : Business, Circular Economy and Low Carbon.
Over the course of the day, the students demonstrated their imagination and boldness in proposing innovative, more environmentally-friendly solutions to one of the three CSR challenges. Each team had to pitch its solution to a panel of judges from Colas France – Territoire IDFN. The challenge was to propose a viable solution that Colas could develop and use.
The Western team, comprising Kevin Billon, Henri Grelet, Antoine Ménard, Lucas
Potin, Nils Renard and Victor Saggioro, finished third in the Challenge Territoire Ouest. “We had a great time working on CSR issues. The day was an opportunity to learn, but also to meet other motivated students,” says Nils. And Victor thanks Colas “for this challenge on forward-looking subjects”.
The team from the Icam Grand Paris Sud site took second place (Challenge Territoire IDF), with congratulations from the jury for the quality of their pitch, their posture and their team spirit! A source of great pride for the eight students who made up the team: Adrien Dufort, Philomène Gailliot, Alexandre Godard, Hicham Ibrahimi, Lisandru Marchi, Vianney Marie, Julien Quenet and Bertille Tritsch.
At the end of the day, the winning teams were each able to make a donation to an association:
“Les SouterReines”, which promotes gender equality in the construction industry, and “IRVIN”, which is dedicated to preparing young people to build the future by drawing inspiration from the living world.
