New prestigious habilitation for research at Icam

Grégoire Chabrol, director of the Research department at Icam, Strasbourg-Europe campus, has just passed the prestigious Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR), joining another Icam researcher, Hervé Le Sourne (Nantes campus) who also holds this title. The theme of his defence was: « Light-Matter Interaction: Development of Advanced Process ».
The HDR is the higher qualification in research, corresponding to a french higher education degree, possible after passing a PhD. Grégoire Chabrol presented is defence before a jury composed of Prof. Matthew Halsall of Manchester university, Prof. Laurent Bigot, CNRS, Lille university, Prof. Thierry Sentenac IMT Mine at Albi and Clement Ader institute, Prof. Thomas Heiser of Strasbourg university and Prof. Sylvain Lecler, INSA Strasbourg.
Already holding responsibilities within the school as a teacher, head of the Energy Department and SD&RS and HMS referent, this accreditation now allows Grégoire Chabrol to also be a thesis director or thesis rapporteur.
