Sustainable Industry at the Heart of the National Partnership Between Icam and Elis
15 Oct 2025
Carole Marsella, Deputy General Director overseeing coordination of Icam campuses in France, and Sylvain Dal Col, Director of Elis Brétigny, signed the agreement at the Icam Grand Paris Sud campus. This national partnership builds on years of collaboration, with Elis having participated in Icam’s annual forum since 2012 and already working closely with the Toulouse and Grand Paris Sud campuses. From now on, all seven Icam campuses—Lille, Nantes, Vannes, La Roche-sur-Yon, Strasbourg, Toulouse, and Grand Paris Sud—will benefit from this shared momentum.
Concrete Initiatives to Bring Students Closer to Industry
This new agreement aims to strengthen the connection between students and the realities of the industrial world, foster their industrial awareness, and support their professional integration. A range of initiatives will help students gain a deeper understanding of production, management, and sustainability challenges in the industry. These include site visits to Elis facilities, job dating events and career forums, as well as privileged access to internships, work-study programs, and job opportunities.
“This national partnership formalizes a long-standing collaboration, built on shared values and a strong connection with students. It will allow us to go even further in supporting and integrating young engineers who are passionate about industry,” says Carole Marsella.
Alexandre and Victor, students at the Grand Paris Sud campus, shared their experiences:
“I did my first internship at Elis two years ago and went back this summer. Some of my suggestions were actually implemented. There’s real trust—you come in with ideas and work together,” explains Alexandre.
“When we arrive, we’re not necessarily familiar with the company,” adds Victor. “But during the first week, they give us a complete tour of the business through various roles. By the end of the week, we’re assigned a project. It’s truly engaging and hands-on.”

A Partnership Built on Shared Values
Through this new national partnership, Icam and Elis continue to pursue a common mission: training and supporting responsible engineers, connected to the field and committed to industrial transformation.
Elis Group (57,000 employees across 31 countries, with 487 production and distribution centers—84 in France) regularly recruits Icam graduates, who are valued for their practical approach, humility, and ability to manage industrial projects. Currently, 24 Icam alumni work at Elis, several of whom hold strategic positions (plant management, logistics, climate action planning). In 2025, 13 Icam students will join Elis for internships or work-study programs in France.
With a revenue of €4.5 billion in 2024—€1.35 billion of which was in France—Elis places sustainability at the core of its business model:
-
79.6% of Elis textiles are reused or recycled
-
Its solutions reduce CO₂ emissions by 35% and water consumption by 60% compared to traditional purchasing models
“Elis and Icam share a meaningful, long-standing partnership built on strong values and inspiring encounters. It’s a collaboration that reflects our commitment to simple, effective communication, a hands-on approach, and collective strength,” says Fanny Bisilliat, Head of Recruitment for France at Elis.
“We continue to implement and share educational initiatives that promote Icam profiles within Elis—profiles that carry our values and bring an innovative vision to our challenges and sustainability goals.”
