Icam, an EESPIG School: A Mark of Seriousness, High Standards, and Quality
29 Jan 2026
On January 21, 2026, Icam received the renewal of its EESPIG qualification (Établissement d’Enseignement Supérieur Privé d’Intérêt Général) for an additional two years, extending its status through 2027. This official recognition confirms that Icam fulfills a public service mission in higher education and research.
What the EESPIG Qualification Means for Icam
Being an EESPIG-qualified institution since 2016 reflects key strengths of Icam’s model:
💡Non-profit mission: The school reinvests 100 % of its resources into high-quality training, innovation, and research that support student success.
🔬 Certified quality: A rigorous evaluation by the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) attests to the quality of Icam’s programs, the professionalization of its pathways, and the strength of its governance structure. Its degrees are also state-recognized and accredited by CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur).
🤝 Commitment to equal opportunity: Icam actively promotes social accessibility and student success through human-centered support. The school welcomes scholarship-holding students, with recruitment conducted via the national Parcoursup platform.
EESPIG Schools: A Meaningful Choice for Students and Families
The EESPIG label is a reassuring and valuable indicator for students and families making crucial decisions about higher education. According to a study by the FESIC association and OpinionWay in October 2025 involving 13 000 participants, both students and parents have high expectations for academic quality, human support, and societal engagement — and EESPIG institutions like Icam consistently meet them.
Survey highlights include:
-
96 % of students and 98 % of parents believe their school delivers a recognized and serious diploma.
-
83 % of students feel their education helps them develop as individuals, and 92 % of parents believe it fosters personal growth.
-
82 % of students express pride in their institution, and 96 % of parents are satisfied with their child’s school.
-
84 % of students, if given the choice again, would choose the same school; and 95 % of parents would recommend the FESIC/EESPIG model to others.
Understanding the EESPIG Label
The EESPIG designation, awarded by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, distinguishes private higher education institutions without profit motive that contribute to six public service missions:
-
Initial and continuing education
-
Scientific and technological research, and the dissemination of results
-
Career guidance and professional integration
-
Dissemination of scientific and technical culture
-
Participation in building the European Higher Education and Research Area
