An Energizing International Convention!
9 Jul 2025
On June 27 and 28, the Lille campus hosted the International Convention, bringing together over 90 representatives (administrative and operational) from our campuses in France, Pointe-Noire (Republic of the Congo), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Douala (Cameroon), Recife (Brazil), Quito (Ecuador), Chennai (India), and Manila (Philippines).
“I want to thank all the teams and extend my gratitude to the Provincials and Rectors who took part in this event. What made this Convention a success? It offered us quality time to reflect, to exchange diverse perspectives, and to simply be together—especially this year, on the newly renovated Lille campus, which fully embodies the values that unite us and reflects the energy and strength of our shared project,” said Gilles Vandecaveye, General Manager of Icam.

Additionally, Michael Maks Davis, professor at the PUCE-Icam International Faculty of Innovation (FIIPI), presented his team’s work and recently published book, Design in the Anthropocene, which was shared with every campus.
The many opportunities for meaningful exchanges and warm, convivial moments were deeply valued by all participants.
“People are at the heart of this Convention,” concluded Gilles Vandecaveye. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to see representatives from four continents gathered around the same table—so many cultures, yet one shared mission, common values, and a united desire to help build a better world.”
