From October 28 to 30, 2025, Icam Nantes and Centrale Nantes hosted EMship Week: the annual event of the Erasmus Mundus EMship+ Master’s program.

This event brought together 80 participants – students, recent graduates, faculty, researchers, administrative staff from partner universities, and industry representatives – for three days filled with enriching exchanges: academic presentations, sharing of internship opportunities, showcasing of the best 2024-2025 theses, discussions, and networking, including informal gatherings. Participants also enjoyed a technical tour of the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard and the hydrodynamics research facilities.

EMship+ (Advanced Design of Sustainable Ships and Offshore Structures) is an Erasmus Mundus program created in 2011 and led by Ghent University, Galati University, Rostock University, Centrale Nantes, the University of Liège, Tecnico Lisboa, and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Icam is one of the associate partners of this Erasmus Mundus program and hosts one or more EMship students each year for their Master’s thesis. Leveraging an alumni network of over 300 graduates and close ties with industry, EMship+ fosters collaboration between higher education and the maritime sector, as well as international mobility.
