I2E2 Symposium: A Week of European Collaboration at Icam Strasbourg-Europe Campus
International
13 Feb 2026
Icam’s Strasbourg-Europe campus experienced a remarkable international immersion during the week of February 9. As part of the International Innovation Engineering and Entrepreneurship Network (I2E2), a network promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in a multicultural context, we welcomed around thirty students from our partner universities, Ulm University (Germany) and Fontys University (Netherlands), for a week of collaborative work.

Synergy among three universities
Coordinated by Guillaume Coudreuse, this event brought together 38 students with complementary profiles:
- Around twenty students from Ulm University (Germany)
- Around ten students from Fontys University (Netherlands)
- 9 fourth-year students from Icam Strasbourg-Europe campus
This European diversity, supervised by tutors from each institution and Leandro Di Domenico for network coordination, aimed to compare working methods and foster collaborative engineering.
A program combining academic expertise and industrial immersion
The week featured an intensive schedule, alternating between theoretical input and practical application:
- Thematic conferences: Students attended expert presentations on additive manufacturing (Annika Götz), intercultural dynamics in professional settings (Leandro Di Domenico), pitch strategies for innovation (Menno De Wilde), and critical chain project management (Guillaume Coudreuse).
- Industrial exposure: A visit to SEW Usocome provided participants with a concrete understanding of production and organizational challenges at a cutting-edge industrial site.
- Workshops and projects: Dedicated workshops on Artificial Intelligence and extended team project work sessions enabled students to prepare their final deliverables.
The success of a multicultural experience
Beyond the technical aspects, this week was a truly human experience. A boat tour discovering Strasbourg and an afterwork event organized on Thursday evening helped strengthen cohesion within this international group.
The week concluded on Friday morning with project presentations in the auditorium. The results presented demonstrated the students’ ability to adapt to a multicultural environment and produce innovative solutions within a limited timeframe.
As Nicolas Juhel, Director of the Strasbourg campus, emphasized: “This gathering brings our international dimension to life and prepares our future engineers to operate in a globalized context.”
