During the four years of the International Bachelor’s programme (out of a total of six years of training), engineering students experiment with teamwork and problem-solving, using projects as a common thread.

In the 2nd and 3rd years, students have to design a radio-controlled and programmable boat that is self-sufficient in energy. This is a comprehensive project combining project management, meeting an established customer need, building the prototype in the Icam Fablab and finally demonstrating it on the water. This was a project with a strong environmental dimension, involving a life cycle analysis and an assessment of their boat’s reparability index.

The students completing their third year at the Lille site were recently able to test their boats on the Deûle.

Well done to all the students and teaching staff who helped them with this great project!
