Context:
As part of a project aiming at recycling agricultural wastes by pyrolysis, the reaction chamber in which pyrolysis takes place must be modelled in order to characterize the thermal characteristics governing the process.
Project description:
Based on a bibliographic study, first, you will identify the important parameters needed in order to model a screw-type reactor as well as the processes involved during the pyrolysis process. You will then perform the thermofluidic modelling of the reactor using Ansys Fluent software. Configuration parameters and calculation sub-models will be evaluated and discussed, if necessary, according to the results obtained.
A technical report will be written at the end of the work. It will focus on the state-of-the-art about pyrolysis reactors modelling, it will present the results obtained and discussed according
to the various sub-models and parameters investigated. Eventually, recommendations will be given so as to make the most suitable choices for further investigations.
