Exchanges between the Ucac-Icam Institute in Douala, Cameroon, and the Loyola-Icam College of Engineering and Technology in Chennai, India, will start in August.
This mobility opens up new opportunities for students and teachers at both schools. It’s an opportunity for students to gain a new intercultural experience and strengthen their open-mindedness. The program will also enable them to share skills and knowledge, particularly in the fields of innovation and artificial intelligence.
As Gilles Vandecaveye, General Manager of Icam, points out, “I think this exchange is really what makes Icam so special. Campuses that network and co-construct across borders. I’m delighted to see this initiative come to fruition between India and Cameroon”.
When Mr. J. Ravikumar, Honorary Consul of India in Douala, visited the Ucac-Icam campus at the end of March for a conference, he reminded students of the decisive role they must play in the development of their countries. Drawing on the model of India, which 30 years ago shared a number of similarities with Cameroon, Mr. Ravikumar particularly urged students to embrace the artificial intelligence revolution and innovate.
