CTI renews Icam’s accreditation for all engineering courses

The quality of Icam’s engineering programs, including the International Bachelor’s degree, is recognized by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI), which has renewed its accreditation for all sites.

Six years after its last accreditation, Icam has just received its renewal from the CTI for all sites and all engineering courses presented : FISA generalist, FISA SNI, FISE, FC generalist, VAE.

The audit took place between March 6 and April 5 at all Icam sites, with a videoconference for the Lille site due to construction work. The teaching and administrative teams at each site were particularly involved in the accreditation process. The audit, carried out by a team of seven auditors including a student engineer and representatives from the socio-economic and academic worlds, covered all aspects of the school: recruitment, course content, research, professional integration, governance, finance, human resources, partnerships, student life…

In its report*, the commission points to a number of strengths, including :

– A competent and committed management team, attentive to the needs of staff and students;
– Strong investment and resources in student support;
– Close relations with companies;
– An Ignatian spirit/method;
– Sharing of best practices between sites;
– Support from the Féron-Vrau Foundation with honor loans: + 10% of students on scholarships;
– An active presence of the Alumnis association;
– Excellent capacity to create new sites (unique pedagogical model, resources, spin-off management);
– SD&RS strategy and action plan;
– Production Schools available to engineering students;
– The ability to deliver a single / multi-site diploma;
– The FISA Digital Systems and Industrial Engineering training program.

The CTI also highlights the work carried out on the International Bachelor’s degree and the sound competency-based approach, which Icam has chosen to place at the heart of its training courses, experimenting with it in greater depth with Bachelor’s students.
The CTI also praised the Quality of Life at Work (QWL) approach deployed at Icam’s Strasbourg-Europe site, as well as Icam’s strong territorial and international roots. According to the commission, “Icam’s international partnerships are a real source of support for its development and a cultural contribution for the benefit of its engineering students”.
