Cpas1option Seminar: Icam Mobilised in the Prevention of Risky Behaviours
Higher EducationIcam
3 Apr 2026
Each year, the national Cpas1option seminar brings together higher education stakeholders to raise awareness, exchange views and share best practices around the prevention of addictive behaviours, risky conduct, harassment, and Gender-Based and Sexual Violence (GBSV).
For its 13th edition, hosted at ENSIL ENSCI in Limoges on 30 and 31 March 2026, Icam was represented by a delegation of staff and student union (BDE) members from our Grand Paris Sud, Lille, Toulouse, Strasbourg-Europe and Icam Ouest campuses, made up of:
– Céleste Derkenne and Baptiste Marques Bras (students) with Jennifer Heyd (staff member, academic assistant and student life coordinator) for Strasbourg-Europe;
– Marie Galtié and Pauline Galy (students, health committee members of the BDE) accompanied by Freddy Carrière (staff member, residence director and student life manager) for Toulouse;
– Domitille Rose and Paul Mabille (students) with Angélina Chagot (staff member, recruitment coordinator) for Lille;
– Victor Sabourin and Baptiste Urvoy de Portzamparc (students, BDE members) accompanied by Astrid Telusson (staff member, recruitment coordinator) for Grand Paris Sud;
– Nadia Malivert and Mathéo Moyon (students, BDE members, Vannes), Marius Cavé and Paul Hirardot (students, BDE members, Nantes), Manon Lequeux and Noé Audrain (students, BDE members, La Roche-sur-Yon), accompanied by Cécile Fosse and Christiane Le Borgne (staff members, residence and ERD) for Icam Ouest.

Image at the Heart of the Discussions
📷 This year, the seminar introduced a new approach by structuring its work around the theme of image, in the broadest sense. This common thread gave staff/student pairs an opportunity to reflect together on a range of topics, including:
- the expression of masculinities in student environments,
- digital law and the capture of images,
- organising responsible events and parties,
- handling complex cases within institutions,
- combating GBSV, addictions and hazing.
Rich Exchanges and Practical Tools
The two days alternated between collective reflection sessions and hands-on workshops.
💡 Participants attended a roundtable discussion on self-esteem under the scrutiny of others at student social events. A conference on the effects of “boys’ clubs” and the expression of masculinities also made a strong impression.

Two parallel plenary sessions provided an opportunity to explore concrete issues in depth:
- for staff, a session on image capture at social events and the associated legal risks, led by Olivier Coutoir, legal advisor in the Public Awareness department of the CNIL (France’s data protection authority);
- for students, a workshop on the responsibilities of event organisers, led by Stéphane Courtois from MAIF.
🤝 Collaborative workshops generated concrete ideas and proposals, followed by group presentations to share initiatives and good practices between institutions.

A final roundtable enriched the discussions further and opened new perspectives. Social moments — including a games evening and afterwork gathering — also encouraged informal exchanges and networking among participants.

A Renewed Commitment from Icam
✒️ A highlight of the seminar was the signing of the Cpas1option prevention charter by the participating institutions. By signing this charter, Icam renews its commitment to the prevention initiative and reaffirms its strong dedication to student welfare and protection.
All Icam campuses are fully engaged in the fight against GBSV, with a dedicated support unit on each campus and specific provisions annexed to their internal regulations. Every campus has a reporting mechanism and a policy for handling gender-based and sexual violence.
This commitment is part of Icam’s broader SD&RS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) approach, which places societal responsibility at the core of its educational mission.
The Cpas1option initiative, created in 2007 by CDEFI (the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools), CGE (the Conference of Grandes Écoles) and BNEI (the National Bureau of Engineering Students), aims to support member institutions in implementing concrete risk-prevention actions. 👉 More information
