VALOREEMA Industrial Chair

"VALOREEMA (VALORization through Extraction, Enzymes, and Microorganisms of Agro-resources) aims to valorize plant by-products using industrial biotechnologies (extraction, biocatalysis, and fermentation). The project is led by the UMRt BioEcoAgro at the University of Lille and involves numerous academic institutions and two international partners. VALOREEMA combines fundamental research with concrete industrial applications. It supports PhD theses while addressing the needs of businesses.

Two projects on endive/chicory will be continued with VF-Bioscience, APEF, and Leroux. New industrial partners are joining the initiative, including Daurema and Fruits Rouges & Co. The new agricultural sectors involved include miscanthus, peas, and berries. VALOREEMA aims to develop new applications in packaging, the agri-food industry, and biocontrol. The project is part of a strong regional and collaborative dynamic centered around the bioeconomy."
