On Wednesday 22 November, the Icam Toulouse campus celebrated its anniversary in style with the Nuit des Audacieux. This landmark event brought together 150 people on campus to highlight six emblematic projects.

These included the installation of a sports complex dedicated to learners, supported by Paul Peycé, Chairman of the Student Union, and Gabrielle Vernier, rugby international player and Icam 120 engineer. Sarah Gautrault, Dean of Students for the Undergraduate international engineering program, highlighted the teaching facilities that promote the development of intercultural professional skills.
The transition to sustainable mobility was also in the spotlight, with a photovoltaic equipment project led by Adeline Monin, teacher and campus’ sustainable development and social responsibility referent, accompanied by Axel Debliek, engineer student in the Undergraduate international engineering program. Lisa Destrel, Experiment, Reread, Discern teaching method coordinator, and Paul Lagraula, a 4th year Icam engineering student, gave a captivating presentation on the need for training to provide personalised support for students, which is unique to Icam.

Charly Pecoste presented his work on the development of research into the use of artificial intelligence tools for the well-being of human beings. Finally, the production school project was unveiled by Eric Milhau and Jean-Thibaud, 2nd year CAP machining apprentices.

Presented in an innovative and captivating way, these projects offered the audience a plunge into the heart of the various axes that define the firmly rooted nature of Icam. Throughout the evening, individuals and companies were given the opportunity to support these initiatives financially.

Presented by Reyda Messaoudi, announcer for Stade Toulousain, the evening was marked by the world of rugby, with notable contributions from Didier Lacroix, chairman of Stade Toulousain and the presence of Serge Betsen, five of whose students from the Serge Betsen Academy in Cameroon joined Icam in Douala this year.

In conclusion, warm thanks were extended to the members of the support committee and the 20 corporate sponsors of the evening, who joined the long-standing donors to the productionschool, notably the Howmet Foundation and the Caisse d’Épargne Midi-Pyrénées. This Nuit des Audacieux will be remembered as a symbolic moment of celebration and support for innovation and education at Icam Toulouse campus.
