Icam Strasbourg-Europe Launches its “Mastère Spécialisé® Data Scientist” in September 2026
Higher Education
9 Apr 2026
In response to the growing importance of data valorisation and artificial intelligence, and to meet the needs of businesses, Icam Strasbourg-Europe is launching this new high-level programme in September 2026.
A Programme at the Heart of Data and AI Challenges
In a context where data has become a strategic lever for organisations, this “Mastère Spécialisé® Data Scientist” aims to train experts capable of turning business challenges into concrete, operational data-driven solutions. The goal goes well beyond simply mastering algorithms — it is about developing a comprehensive approach, from analysing the initial need through to the industrial deployment of models.
A Progressive, Business-Oriented Pedagogy
The programme is built around a structured skills progression covering several key areas:
- Data fundamentals: programming, statistics and data handling
- Machine learning: modelling, training and evaluation
- Advanced artificial intelligence: deep learning and complex use cases
- Industrialisation (MLOps): deployment, automation and monitoring
- Data project: hands-on application to a real business challenge
This approach gives learners a complete understanding of the data project lifecycle, from design through to production deployment.
Work-Study and Project Management at the Core
Designed with strong employability in mind, the programme places the company at the heart of the learning journey. Participants work in a real professional environment through a long-term placement or a work-study contract.
This close connection with industry anchors skills in concrete situations and accelerates entry into the job market.
Beyond technical skills, the Specialised Master’s® develops a key differentiating dimension: data project management.
Learners are trained to:
- understand and formalise business needs
- structure an analytical approach
- present and communicate results effectively
- turn models into impactful solutions
This approach directly addresses what companies are looking for: profiles capable of bridging technical expertise and business challenges.
Who Is It For?
The programme is open to candidates with a scientific background at Master’s level (Bac+5). It is particularly suited to:
- engineers and graduates in mathematics, computer science or the sciences
- data analysts looking to advance their skills
- developers or career-changers with a solid technical foundation
How to Apply
To ensure the programme’s high standards, admission follows a rigorous three-stage process:
- Application file: to be completed and validated in advance.
- Admission session (in person): an information meeting (9am–10am) followed by a technical test (10am–12pm).
- Dates: 21 April, 19 May, 16 June and 15 September.
- Individual interview: conditional on passing the test and submitting a complete application file.
Important conditions:
Single attempt: the technical test may only be taken once — no resits are available. In-person format only: no remote testing, except in exceptional cases for candidates located near another Icam campus (supervised locally).
This Specialised Master’s® represents a high-value specialisation opportunity in a constantly evolving field.
With this new flagship programme, Icam reaffirms its commitment to supporting the digital transformation of businesses and training experts ready to take on the challenges of data and artificial intelligence.
