Services to businesses
9 Oct 2026
Since 1 June 2026, Icam’s Grand Paris Sud campus, the CCI Paris Île-de-France and the Île-de-France Region have been working with SMEs in the Paris region through the Pacte 5.0 project (Programme d’Accompagnement vers la Certification par la Transformation digitale Écologique des PME, a support programme for SME certification through green digital transformation). The project helps these companies achieve ISO 9001 certification (quality) and integrate ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 26000 (CSR) criteria. It is supported by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Its ambition is to strengthen France’s position in future-oriented sectors, particularly industry and logistics, by helping SMEs modernise through a responsible and sustainable digital transformation. Some twenty companies will benefit from this support.
Removing barriers to digital adoption in SMEs
To improve their performance, industrial companies need to modernise their production and logistics resources and transform their supply chains effectively. Artificial intelligence, information systems, the Internet of Things, big data, digital twins and advanced robotics are all Industry 5.0 technologies that have proven their worth in large corporations. Yet many micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as mid-sized companies, are still reluctant to adopt them. The reasons include cost and a lack of in-house skills. Employees also tend to see these technologies as having a negative impact on society. This is why the project fully integrates sustainability: the aim is to find the right balance for each company, in line with its expectations and resources.
Three months of tailored support
Each company will receive three months of support, based on a comprehensive sustainable digital transformation methodology developed by Icam. The process begins with an awareness-raising pre-diagnosis using Icam’s SMARTDIAG tool. A full audit with the SCGreenoptimizer tool follows. Next comes a co-creation process involving all the company’s stakeholders. It is used to model the company’s current situation, identify areas for improvement and build a roadmap towards certification. At the end of the support period, the company has the results and tools it needs to continue its transformation.
Icam’s platforms and experts at work
What makes the project original is the combination of this methodology with Icam’s tools and its experts in technology, organisation, human sciences and the environment. Together with each SME, they co-construct a responsible transformation process. The expected outcomes are improved performance, greater international competitiveness, ISO 9001 certification and the integration of ISO 14001 and ISO 26000 criteria.

All of Icam Grand Paris Sud’s expertise within the LIFE platform (Logistique et Industrie du Futur Écologique: Green Logistics and Industry of the Future) @ Xavier Granet
The LIFE platform and the Lean platform at Icam’s Grand Paris Sud campus will be used to design and build solutions tailored to each company, helping it stand out from the competition. Examples include:
- AI to detect quality defects and ensure product traceability;
- immersive technologies for maintenance operations;
- digital twins as a decision-making tool;
- the 5.0 workstation, where operators remain in control of their workstation when interacting with robots.
The Pacte 5.0 project will run for 31 months as part of the ERDF programme.
