Several media, including Le Parisien, have reported on the photovoltaic panel recycling project run by Icam engineering students and ENVIE 2E Occitanie, a pioneering player in the circular economy.
Commissioned by ENVIE 2E Occitanie, a specialist in recycling and integration, Icam engineering students have designed a machine capable of dismantling photovoltaic panels no longer in use, and sending their components (glass, aluminum, electrical connectors) to suitable recycling channels. Scheduled for delivery next semester, the machine will be able to process between 15 and 60 panels per hour, depending on the options selected.
The project has received a lot of press coverage, notably in Le Parisien and Le Journal des Entreprises.
