Enedis, an industrial public service company and electricity distributor for 37 million customers in France, was created on 1 January 2008. Enedis, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDF, manages the electricity distribution networks in 95% of France (1.37 million km of power lines, 800 sites in France, €4.2 billion in investments in 2019). The company’s missions, which employs around 38,000 people, consist of modernizing, operating and repairing the public electricity distribution network, metering, connection, as well as supporting local authorities.
In the Seine-et-Marne region, Enedis will have, by the end of 2019
8800 km of low voltage network (400/230 Volts),
8900 km of Medium Voltage HTA network (20 000 Volts),
37 Source stations (Very High Voltage 63/400,000 Volts transformation, RTE network -> HTA Enedis)
10,000 public distribution substations (HTA->BT)
