A technical platform to accelerate business innovation

Icam campus in Lille has a technical platform, equipped with tools with various technologies, allowing companies to access prototyping, design, assembly, testing, qualification services, etc.The idea is to accelerate the development phase of a product, in order to offerit more quickly on the market,” says Jean-Michel Rigaut, who is bringing this project to theIcama site in Lille. If this project is supported by public funds (FEDER Fund, via the Hauts-de-France Region), it is precisely because it contributes very concretely to the economic development of regional companies.

In addition to the equipment,Icam offers its expertise in a consulting approach, to help companies formulate their needs and to initiate a coherent development approach, which will build on the equipment made available on the platform, “with a key focus on the emergence of the project“.

The equipment of the Icam platform is pooled with that of the TechShop Leroy Merlin, which is located a few hundred meters from the campus. Accompanied companies can thus benefit from all the tools at their disposal through these two structures.

The possibilities offered are those of 3D printing, additive manufacturing (plastic or mechanical), an electronic card workshop (very interesting in terms of embedded intelligence, for example), recycling plas(in a concept of circular economy), the qualification of products on the basis of the prototypes made, but also a coworking space and an assembly-prototyping area. These are all possibilities that also allow us to work in a very promising field, and capital for theIcam the industry of the future.
