Icam
a responsible school

Our world is experiencing increasingly interconnected social and environmental crises, requiring a systemic approach: integral ecology. Icam raises awareness among its students through personal development programs, social and volunteer missions, and promotes social diversity through its international Bachelor’s program and production schools . Its research projects focus on energy, societal and technological transition, and innovative materials, with a focus on ethical and ecological innovation.

Icam recently approved its Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility (SD&SR) Master Plan for 2024-2026 , which sets objectives for decarbonization, reducing energy consumption, and limiting environmental impacts. This plan, approved in December 2023, commits all Icam stakeholders to integrating these priorities into their daily and academic work. It also aims to train engineers capable of meeting the challenges of the ecological transition.

Actions and strategies for a responsible future

The Icam Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility (SD&SR) team has published a brochure outlining actions to be taken, both collectively and individually, to make our campuses more sustainable. Taking action to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a fairer world is essential. In 2023, Icam initiated several concrete actions in this direction. These initial measures align with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The SD&SR master plan for the next three years will be presented soon.
