Social Dialogue Observatory

The UIMM, industrial pillar of the Hauts de France territories, is launching a strategic and prospective study at the heart of a context of profound economic and social changes. Faced with the paradox between demands for competitiveness and new aspirations of young generations, this project aims to observe where and how social dialogue is manifested in a formal and informal way. The objective is to observe current practices, from negotiations to discussion circles, to identify emerging social innovations within member companies. By identifying these new dynamics, the UIMM wishes to drive a constructive and evolutionary change. This forward-looking approach should strengthen the industrial branch by aligning the interests of stakeholders. Thus, for two years, the mission of the Chair Sense & Work is to conduct this study in the field by conducting interviews with unions, employees, executives and leaders within metallurgy companies.
